Welcome Back, Tiger!

After recovering from two back surgeries in the past 15 months, Tiger Woods returned to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge this week. And what a week it was!

Even though the Hero ChallengeĀ is an unofficial PGA Tour event run by Woods’s foundation, which features only 18 players with no cut, golf fans were so pleased and excited to watch the former number one golfer in the world back in action.

Eagle puts, 265 yard 2-iron and fist pumps back in the air. Tiger tied for 9th with a total score of 8 under par. A shaky third round brought him back to reality and compromised his Hero World Challenge title contention. Even with a decedent round, it wouldn’t have been enough to beat Rickie Fowler, who put on a show today for 18 holes and finished in 61 (-18 for the tournament).

It’s hard to predict the upcoming season for Tiger Woods; his physical condition still remains very questionable and unpredictable while the consistency of his swing cannot be evaluated after only 72 holes. However, one thing is for sure: Golf fans missed you and are so glad to have you back.
